The Bi3 solution on Power Bi for Movex / M3 was created following the observation that at management meetings, it was often difficult to check the reports presented by the various departments. This difficulty stemmed from the fact that the figures were beaten by different users.
In response to this problem, the startup Erp-Link, created in 2014, decided to publish a complete Business Intelligence solution : BI3 . The aim of this solution is to provide professionals with highly business-oriented reports, dashboards and monitoring of company activities.
Development initially focused on Infor’s M3 ERP (M3 evolved from Intentia’s Movex ERP, which was acquired by Lawson and then by Infor). Bi3 now extends to other ERPs.
The Bi3 solution now covers production, finance, sales, purchasing, logistics and inventory, including stocks of components and raw materials requisitioned for ongoing production.
Bi3 enables all users, depending on their rights, to access aggregated data and detailed information in a variety of formats, in just a few clicks.
Relying on a Microsoft SQL Server solution, Bi3’s data retrieval capabilities range from highly-configured paginated reports to Excel and pivot tables, but above all to Power Bi reports and dashboards, available on PCs, tablets and smartphones and accessible from anywhere.
Within the company, there are different categories of users, and Bi3 is designed for each of these categories:
- Management, representing 5 to 10% of users, accessing in particular results and performance dashboards on Power Bi.
- Analysts, representing 15 to 25% of users, who need to “navigate” through data to prepare reports and dashboards, access detailed data.
- Collaborators representing 65 to 80% of users access structured reports to analyze operational results.
Bi3 can be installed quickly, and can also be used as a basis for creating additional specific reports according to business needs.
